Role-Based Application Design
Give each user an interface suited to their responsibilities. DOYJO designs role-based applications so customers, staff and administrators can perform the right tasks with appropriate access.
Work directly with Brian Bateman in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Serving businesses locally and nationwide.
Build around the work that needs to happen
A role is more than a hidden menu item. The application must enforce which records a person may view and which actions they may take. Planning those rules early helps prevent an attractive interface from concealing a confused or unsafe data model.
Plan your project
Start with the people who use the system and an example of information each should see. Democracy Solution illustrates role-based interface planning in a civic demo. A production project needs its own detailed access rules, verification requirements and security checks.
Can different customers share one application safely?
That requires explicit account separation and permission checks throughout the application. It is a design and testing requirement, not something established by a different dashboard appearance.
