An order email is part of the business process
The buyer may not be the person who pays the invoice. Staff may need account history alongside the current order. Customers need a recognizable message with the details required for their next step.
Custom email work defines the message type, its trigger, its recipients and the information it should include. That helps distinguish a customer confirmation from an internal notification or an accounts-payable copy.
Invoice recipients and order context for DryAway Dealer
DryAway Dealer uses a custom Invoice CC plugin to include accounts-payable recipients in invoice and order communication. Administrative account controls keep that information associated with the appropriate customer.
A separate customization adds an order-count reference to staff notifications. The platform also uses a DOYJO-adapted email-template extension built on an existing third-party foundation. Together, these show three different needs: recipient rules, useful order context and consistent presentation.
Scope the recipient rules before the template
We review which emails the store sends, which extensions generate them and how addresses are maintained. A recipient rule may depend on an account record, order information or an explicit staff action. It should be testable without guessing from the message’s appearance.
Template work can then address layout, brand elements and the information customers or staff need. Compatibility checks include the relevant email extensions and delivery setup. SMTP configuration and delivery diagnostics can be included through the related email-delivery service.
Can different customer accounts have different invoice contacts?
Yes, where that requirement is included in the account model and email integration. The project should define who can maintain those contacts, which messages they receive and how a changed account address affects future orders.
