111Things.com Interactive News & Enterprise AI Publishing Platform
111Things.com is DOYJO’s AI-native Interactive News and local discovery platform for national, state, and more than 2,000 city and community markets. Enterprise Scaled News Next Gen supplies the complete newsroom behind it and can produce up to 1,500 articles per day standalone or scale horizontally across Source and Release subdomains with virtually no fixed production ceiling.
Business need
What needed to work better.
111Things was built to make national, state, and local information useful at a scale traditional newsroom staffing and ordinary WordPress automation could not support. The previous full-release system had already achieved more than 500 published articles in a day, but covering thousands of markets with deeper source control, distinct editorial desks, consistent taxonomy, local release timing, and clear operational visibility required a new generation of platform architecture.
Solution
How DOYJO improved the path.
DOYJO developed Enterprise Scaled News Next Gen as a complete AI-native WordPress newsroom. It handles story discovery, source packets, corroboration, candidate evaluation, duplicate prevention, writing and expansion, validation, categories and location tags, local scheduling, publication, status reconciliation, reporting, and human review.
The same plugin can operate as a Combined Newsroom, Source Node, Release Node, or Standalone Writer. A publisher can run the entire workflow on one installation, produce up to 1,500 articles per day in standalone mode, or distribute research and release across as many paired subdomains as the required volume demands. Twelve specialized editorial lanes can each carry their own discovery prompt, source standards, freshness rules, priorities, quotas, categories, and editorial voice.
Result
Why it mattered.
111Things demonstrates a complete interactive news and discovery ecosystem rather than a flat article feed. Readers can move through national and local headlines, city hubs, weather, daily briefs, topic paths, and question-driven discovery, while the newsroom behind the site manages evidence, editorial specialization, AEO/GEO, SEO, quality controls, scheduling, and publication.
The previous full-release platform achieved more than 500 published articles in a day. Enterprise Scaled News Next Gen raises single-installation capacity to as many as 1,500 articles per day and adds a horizontal Source-and-Release architecture with virtually no practical production ceiling. DOYJO continues pushing the boundaries of AI search and publishing technology while keeping the platform publisher-owned, reviewable, measurable, and under human control.
National, state, city, town, and community publishing paths are organized within one discovery platform.
The earlier full-release system surpassed 500 published articles in a single day.
A single standalone installation can produce up to 1,500 articles per day.
Additional Source and Release nodes can be deployed across subdomains as publishing volume grows.
Each lane can use its own discovery, source, freshness, priority, quota, category, and editorial rules.
Source-supported, entity-specific, technically retrievable content supports readers, search engines, and answer engines.
Platform architecture
One newsroom can grow into a distributed publishing network.
The same WordPress platform can keep the complete workflow together or divide research, production, and release across paired sites. Capacity grows by adding nodes rather than rebuilding the newsroom.
- Combined Newsroom for discovery, writing, scheduling, and publication on one site.
- Standalone Writer with capacity for up to 1,500 articles per day on one installation.
- Source Nodes for research, evidence, candidate screening, and article production.
- Release Nodes for destination-local taxonomy, scheduling, validation, duplicate control, and publication.
- Additional Source and Release subdomains can be added horizontally as required volume grows.
- Signed Source-to-Release pairing protects distributed delivery while keeping each destination in control.
Full newsroom workflow
The platform manages the work from discovery through publication.
Enterprise Scaled News Next Gen combines the specialized steps of a newsroom inside one coordinated production system, with automation handling repetitive work and people retaining editorial authority.
- Source-packet-first research with exact evidence, corroboration, and claim-level source URLs.
- Lane-specific discovery prompts, source policies, freshness windows, categories, priorities, quotas, and editorial voices.
- Weak-candidate rejection, different-angle discovery, duplicate preflight, and final release safeguards.
- Batch production for routine work and a synchronous path for urgent coverage.
- Structured validation, human review points, corrections, and visible exceptions before or after release.
AI search and organic growth
Content is organized to be useful, retrievable, and authoritative.
The public experience and newsroom architecture work together so readers can discover relevant information while search engines and answer engines can understand the entities, topics, locations, sources, and relationships behind it.
- AEO/GEO, structured fields, source support, entity clarity, topic depth, and technical SEO.
- National, state, city, town, and community paths across more than 2,000 markets.
- Controlled categories, canonical location tags, internal links, and destination-local publishing schedules.
- Weather, local time, alerts, daily briefs, question-driven discovery, and related local context.
- Operational reporting for story flow, coverage, validation, publishing status, and cost.
Publisher-controlled automation
Scale the newsroom without giving up editorial control.
The system automates the mechanical newsroom workload without replacing editorial judgment. Publishers define source standards, lane rules, categories, schedules, quotas, and review points, then monitor story flow, coverage, validation, publishing status, and operating cost from the newsroom. The same operating model can serve one publication or expand into a distributed network as demand grows.
