CJ’s Premium Spices: Retail & Wholesale Store
An e-commerce website brought retail and wholesale ordering together with QuickBooks and ShipStation connections for a specialty food business.
Work directly with Brian Bateman in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Serving businesses locally and nationwide.
Project overview
The originator of the Potato Salad Mix worked as a cook in the family restaurant and was tasked with creating a delicious side dish that everyone would enjoy. Amazingly, the potato salad proved to be a big hit among all the restaurant patrons, many decades later, the idea of making it simple for everyone to replicate in their own kitchen by using a “spice packet” was recently commercially perfected. A company was born, Originally Captain Jeff’s, new owners continue to work tirelessly to bring “Culinary Joy in a Packet” to every household pantry and CJ’s Premium Spices was founded.

Brian Bateman developed an e-commerce website that would manage both retail and wholesale sales online while automating business processes. When an order is made on the website, the order automatically syncs with PayPal, Quickbooks, and Shipstation so all that the CJ’s team has to do is print the postage and label and send it out in the mail. The bookkeeping is all done automatically, saving the CJ’s team extra time with every order. DOYJO provides ongoing webmaster services such as security updates, website hosting, managed firewall and search engine optimization.

What the project needed
- Retail E-Commerce Transactions
- Wholesale E-Commerce Transactions
- Third Party Application Integration
- Website Maintenance
- Website Security
Current website view
The current managed store combines product storytelling with shopping and account access. The fresh homepage view is separate from the original project record describing retail, wholesale and business-system integrations.
A faster store that preserves its video background
We repaired old image paths, improved local fonts and contrast, and refined cart and carousel controls. The original muted autoplay video remains the desktop background, as intended; optimization preserves that design requirement and the shopping links.
The current phone experience
The phone view emphasizes the potato salad mix, explanatory product copy and a direct purchase path. Shopping and account controls remain available through the compact header.
DOYJO’s original work connected retail and wholesale commerce with supporting business processes. The case study retains that implementation history, while this new screenshot shows the current public product presentation.
No purchase, payment or accounting synchronization was performed for this capture. Those workflows cannot be validated by a homepage image. The dated Lighthouse reports below record current loading and automated quality checks, with any remaining findings shown as measured.
